Since the stories behind Jiang-Shi (or 'Chinese Vampires') vary depending on the depiction, there's a lot of head canon and twisting to either mix all versions or choose favorites so to speak. Most of it is to make sense in the end, as when it comes down to it, there are some pretty bizarre takes on these things.
